Pamela Patterson, CEO

Pamela Patterson, CEO has operated West Company since July of 2004. Prior to the position of CEO Pamela had been the Fort Bragg office manager and delivered program services. Pamela acted as the Women's Business Center Director when needed. She has successfully overseen numerous program audits by the California State Department of Housing and Community Development, the Small Business Development Center and others. She is well versed in grant and contract administration.

Carol Knolle, Administrative Coordinator

Carol Knolle has valuable experience as administrative support to non-profit organizations and city government. She provides professional clerical and customer service skills to West Company. Carol's area of expertise includes pre-press graphic consultation based upon her years in the printing industry and ongoing graphic training. Carol can provide advice to clients regarding savings in printing costs through knowledgeable planning of marketing materials. Carol also has strong writing and editing skills, which add to her value in the area of developing marketing materials. In addition, Carol can share her knowledge and experience of 11 years in the restaurant industry including food prep, customer service and floor management.

Cathy Boyd, Administrative Assistant

Cathy Boyd is a new part-time employee that has database experience and is providing important support in tracking client activities. She will also be working to track the deliverables of the many contracts we have.

Page Castro, Director of Women's Business Center & Latino Programs

Page Castro is the Center Director for the Mendocino Women's Business Center. She provides training and technical assistance to Spanish speaking TIG clients and women business owners. Page's previous experience is in the insurance industry making her a valuable resource to clients who wish to manage risk in their business.

Loyd Hambrick, Business Development Manager

Loyd Hambrick is West Company's consultant with expertise in buying and selling a business, loan process and business management. Loyd's skills and experience cover a wide range of business topics including business and financial planning, recordkeeping and accounting, writing a business plan, organization and process improvement. Loyd is experienced and knowledgeable in sales and service businesses, and can provide valuable counsel to clients in the restaurant industry. Loyd has strong skills in computer technology and software as well. He is a well-rounded professional with experience, resourcefulness and customer-service expertise.

William Beckett, Business Development Manager

Bill Beckett’s area of expertise encompasses business financial planning, wholesale business and writing business plans. Bill has experience in government procurement and contracting, a challenging but valuable area of business growth and development in the current economic environment. His realm of experience includes marketing, manufacturing, sales, recordkeeping and accounting, and buying and selling a business. Bill can guide clients through loan process and can help keep them on track with organization and management. Bill is familiar with the challenges of running a business in a rural community and utilizes that understanding in his role as a business consultant in Glenn County.

 

 

In addition to employees at West Company, we have business advisors under contract to counsel our SBDC clients and when appropriate our TIG clients. Contractors include:

Nancy Banker, a highly motivated, results oriented seasoned executive with over 15 years of experience in multiple markets including healthcare. She was the founder and COO of Entremed Physician Equity Network from 1989-1998.

Johanna Jensen provides marketing assistance to our clients. One of her many accomplishments includes developing strategic marketing plans and implementation of tactical activities realizing $40 million in annual sales for clients of Attachmate Corporation.

Michael Carroll coaches business owners, artisans and managers in the skills and techniques needed to grow their business.

Ruth Dobberpuhl is a certified QuickBooks bookkeeper and when appropriate, counsels our clients in their QuickBooks.

Tom Becker is our volunteer Loan Fund Manager. Drawing from his banking experience prior to retirement, Tom was successful in assisting clients last year in attaining 1.4 million dollars in loans.
